Support and Shelter for Survivors

At Margie’s Haven House, our mission is clear: to provide shelter and essential services to all victims of domestic violence and abuse, along with their children. We are dedicated to offering a 24/7 emergency shelter, crisis intervention, and a range of supportive services that include individual and group counseling, court advocacy, case management, and community referrals. Our goal extends beyond immediate relief; we strive to create long-lasting impact by educating and raising awareness about domestic violence within our community.

Our Story

Margie’s Haven House began with a vision of hope and healing in August 1989, when a determined group of four women, all survivors of domestic violence, came together to create a safe refuge for those in need. They were driven by their personal experiences and a profound desire to make a difference in their community. With unwavering commitment, these founding mothers spoke to civic groups, churches, and local organizations to raise awareness and funds, paving the way for what has become a lifeline for countless individuals and families.

Since its inception, Margie’s Haven House has grown from a humble beginning into a comprehensive support center dedicated to addressing the needs of victims of domestic violence and abuse. Our mission is to provide a safe, secure, and nurturing environment for those experiencing crisis, while also offering vital services to aid in their recovery and empowerment.
